The Orphan House

A house without inhabitants. I didn't know who would live there; I didn't have the most important tool that shapes a home: the hopes and needs of its inhabitants. I adopted it and gave it all my love.

The surroundings were not very inspiring either, a luxury development that was as much in Seville as in Madrid.

I had to fill it with lives that hadn't yet arrived, with parents preparing lunch while watching the kids play in the pool, with teenagers studying in their rooms, and with a happy couple enjoying themselves, or arguing, in their bedroom.

And I did that because architecture isn't about square meters of surface area. The dimensions of spaces are as relative as the lifestyle of each person who uses them.

Is a bedroom big or small? It depends on who it's for.
